Our Story

Welcome to Golden Creek Reserve.

Ten plus years ago, we began building something that was never intended to be a business plan, a marketing concept, or even a ranch.

We were simply building a place for our family home.

A place where our children could grow up connected to the land. A place where they could spend their days outdoors instead of indoors.

A place where life moved a little slower and felt a little more intentional.

Today, that dream stretches across eighty acres of rolling hills, ancient trees, open pastures, and the creek that gives Golden Creek its name.

It is here that our children learned to climb trees, explore trails, and jump into the creek on hot summer afternoons.

It is here that our son runs to greet every new calf born on the ranch, wrapping his arms around them before they can even find their footing.

It is here that peacocks call from the treetops as the sun settles behind the hills, chickens roam freely through the reserve as nature intended, and goats scale rocky cliffs with the confidence of seasoned mountaineers.

As evening arrives, a cool breeze moves through the trees. The sound of traffic disappears. Wind chimes sway gently from our outdoor gathering spaces. Peacocks settle into the branches overhead. The creek continues its quiet journey through the property.

This place feels different.

Friends often tell us that stepping onto the Reserve feels like entering another dimension. A place where time slows down. A place where humans reconnect with nature, with family, and with one another.

Over the years, we have planted hundreds of fruit trees throughout the property. Avocados, citrus, peaches, figs, pomegranates, and countless others now share the land alongside grapevines that produce small amounts of estate wine enjoyed only by family and close friends.

The Reserve is also home to the animals we care for every day. American Angus, American Wagyu, and Japanese Wagyu, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, turkeys, chickens, emus, and peacocks. Every animal here plays a role in the living ecosystem we continue to nurture and protect.

And while our cattle have become a central part of our story, they are not the whole story.

The beef we raise is simply an extension of the values that built this place: patience, stewardship, family, and respect for the land.

We raise small herds because we believe quality cannot be rushed. We believe animals deserve space to roam, time to mature, and care that reflects the responsibility we have accepted as their caretakers.

Golden Creek Reserve has become a gathering place for our family, our friends, and our growing chef family. Children run freely across the property. Stories are shared. Meals are cooked slowly. Memories are made.

That is what this place has always been about.

Creating a place where people, animals, food, and nature can exist together in harmony.

While the Reserve will always remain our Private home, Golden Creek has grown into something even larger.

It has become the philosophy for everything we are creating… places, experiences, and partnerships that allow us to share this way of life beyond our gates.

From ROCA, our culinary property, where we'll be able to gather around the table for public events, to pop-up markets in the community, to chef ambassador collaborations with local restaurants, and new destinations still to come, what began as our family's private sanctuary is becoming the guiding light to everything we are creating to share with our community.

We can't wait to welcome you into this next chapter.

Our Philosophy

For us, the Reserve started with a simple goal: providing nourishing food for our family.

Over the years, both our family and the Reserve have grown. What began as a place for our children has become a place for connection.

Connection to community. To the land. To nature. To the animals in our care. And to the people who gather here.

We don't see the Golden Creek as a business.

We see it as sharing a small piece of the life we've built with others who believe in the same values: family, stewardship, community, and respect for the world around us.
